JBL Praises Chad Gable as “Best Wrestler in the World” After AAA Match With Ludwig Kaiser

JBL has offered strong praise for Chad Gable following his recent match against Ludwig Kaiser at AAA Noche de los Grandes, calling him the best wrestler in the world.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, JBL reflected on the mask vs. mask bout that took place in Monterrey, Mexico. The match saw El Grande Americano defeat the Original Grande Americano, who later unmasked to reveal himself as Gable. JBL, who was on commentary for the event, described the match as one of the best examples of professional wrestling.

“I think Chad Gable’s the best wrestler in the world. And I don’t think it’s close. That was absolutely amazing, what he and Kaiser did.”

JBL pointed to Gable’s ability to adapt as one of the most impressive aspects of the performance. He highlighted how different it is to work as a heel in Mexico compared to WWE.

“It’s easy to be kind of a campy heel like he was in WWE with the videos with the Varsity Club or whatever the heck it was. But then all of a sudden to try to get heat down in Mexico, that’s a different level. It’s not even the same business. He had a match down there with La Parka that was just phenomenal.”

Kaiser also received praise for his preparation and commitment to the role.

“Kaiser created all this. Kaiser created all this with learning the language. Not just learning the language, as we used to say in Texas, he wasn’t learning Spanish, he was learning Mexican. The local dialect was what he was learning, which was absolutely amazing, what he’s done.”

JBL also credited the crowd for elevating the match atmosphere.

“Mexican fans are just passionate fans. They love their lucha libre, and they love their stars, and they get into things, and they enjoy it. And that’s what you saw, them at their very best. And I thought you saw wrestling at its very best. I was absolutely blown away by what they did in the match.”

This is not the first time JBL has spoken highly of the storyline. On Something to Wrestle, he previously described the Kaiser vs. Gable angle as “the craziest shit I’ve ever seen in wrestling, ever.” His comments come as other veterans, including Jeff Jarrett, have also shared strong opinions about Gable’s current standing.

Big E Identifies Tag Team Star As One Of The Most Underrated Wrestlers On WWE Roster

If there’s one wrestler who knows a thing or two about tag team wrestling, it’s Big E. He spent years as a member of New Day and held the SmackDown tag titles six times and the Raw tag titles twice. With that much experience, he’s going to have a good eye for talent.

During Monday’s episode of WWE Now, the crew was discussing Montez Ford having a singles match against Seth Rollins. Big E said that although Ford is a vet to him, “he’s one of the most underrated Superstars on the roster. His level of athleticism is truly incredible. I know he’s been out for quite some time. I think kind of just on the shelf, him and Dawkins. Not due to injury or anything, those guys have just been sitting on the sidelines. It’s been really a breath of fresh air especially for the tag team division to have those two back.” He mentioned Dawkins taking a beating on “Raw” and if he’s on the shelf, maybe we see a makeshift tag team with Ford and Rollins. “I’m excited to see how the pairing goes with those two.”

Before their return last month, Street Profits hadn’t wrestled on “SmackDown” since October. They challenged The Vision for the World Tag Team Titles last weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event in a losing effort.

AEW’s Mick Foley Opens Up About Leaving WWE Due To Company’s Support For Donald Trump

Foley said that he didn’t want to be in a position where his grandchildren were questioning what side of history their grandfather was on. He explained, however, that he loves WWE and wasn’t going to disparage the company, and he didn’t close the door on things entirely.

“But, it didn’t seem like a good fit,” he said. “Didn’t seem like a fit that would allow me to look myself in the mirror before I went to bed.”

He explained that the head of talent relations said he respected his decision, then he received a call from someone “really high up,” who he did not want to name, who seemed to try and reason with him. Foley said the person explained Paul “Triple H” Levesque was “just” on the president’s physical fitness board and that Linda McMahon, Trump’s Secretary of Education, hasn’t worked in WWE in years.

“I said, ‘Well, theoretically that’s the case, but I could have swore I saw Paul behind the president’s shoulder when he was making… policy,'” Foley said. “I said, ‘Whether Linda’s working for the company or not, her last name’s ‘McMahon’ and she’s associated with the company.'”

Foley said he did not hear from Levesque or anyone within the McMahon family, though said he did have a great relationship with Levesque and his wife, Stephanie McMahon, as well as Vince McMahon, and he knew the decision was probably going to impact those relationships. Foley also had a message to those listening regarding politics.

“It’s never too late to do the right thing,” Foley said. “The best time to have made your voice heard would have been earlier, but the second best time is now.”

Biggest Winners And Losers Of The Week — 6/2/2026

This isn’t Jade’s first appearance in a recent winners/losers column — we made her a winner after Saturday Night’s Main Event, when she pinned Rhea Ripley. But even after losing to Ripley at Clash In Italy, it’s hard to see Cargill as anything but a winner. She defeated and took out Alexa Bliss on “SmackDown,” then proceeded to have what may have been the best match of her career against Ripley in Turin. And because of the way that match went down, she now has legitimate beef with Charlotte Flair, setting up a potential dream match that fans have been waiting for since Cargill first signed with WWE. And while their singles match is still a thing of the future, we don’t have to wait long for Cargill and Flair to get in the ring together — they’re set to be part of the same Queen of the Ring tournament four-way quarterfinal, meaning we’re very close to getting at least a taste of what Cargill vs. Flair could be.

That just winner’s stuff, right there. Cargill might not be WWE Women’s Champion, but she’s found a foil in Ripley that results in consistently excellent chemistry, and she could be about to find another one in Flair. Her position in the WWE hierarchy is rock-solid, and at this point the Jade Cargill experiment has to be considered a success.

WWE NXT Results 6/2 – Two Championships On The Line, Lizzy Rain Faces Zaria & More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s live coverage for “WWE NXT” on June 2, 2026, coming to you live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

Tony D’Angelo will be putting the NXT Championship on the line on television for the first time since retaining against current “WWE Raw” star Ethan Page at Week One of the “NXT” Revenge special on April 14 as he defends against Kam Hendrix. Hendrix confronted D’Angelo during last Tuesday’s episode of “NXT” as Naraku was in the midst of assuring D’Angelo that he would protect him. When Hendrix looked to take out D’Angelo, Naraku lived up to his word by clotheslining D’Angelo out of the ring.

Lexis King will be putting the Speed Championship on the line for the first time since defeating EK Prosper to become titleholder at Week Two of the Revenge special on April 21 as he defends against Romeo Moreno. Moreno defeated Frazer in a First Round Match in a Speed Championship Number One Contenders Tournament last Tuesday, with another First Round Match in a Speed Championship Number One Contenders Tournament between Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux having ended in a no contest and caused neither man to advance.

Lizzy Rain will be back in action as she collides with Zaria. With Rain and her ally Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley having previously scored a win against Zaria and Nikkita Lyons on the May 12 episode of “NXT” after Zaria left Lyons alone in the ring, Zaria and Rain got into a brawl backstage last Tuesday as Shiloh Hill looked to get Zaria to sign his petition to become Mr. NXT.

North American Champion Myles Borne will be joining forces with Tavion Heights to go head-to-head with DarkState’s Osiris Griffin and Cutler James. DarkState blindsided Borne and Heights with an attack backstage last Tuesday as the former No Quarter Catch Crew stablemates were in the midst of a conversation wherein Borne expressed he thought Heights needed to slow down a little bit.
